Description
Important and museum-worthy pair of sideboards/bookcases dating back to the Directory period (early 19th century) of high cabinet making. The structures were made entirely of solid walnut and inlaid on all panels and sides with boxwood and maple. On the front panels of the upper body, you can see some inlaid masks. Also, on the lower body we find internal secrets and several shelves. The side panels are inlaid with geometric and floral motifs. The lower body also features inlays with geometric and floral motifs on all sides and internal shelves.
Both pieces are in perfect state of conservation. There are no missing parts.
